Hello,
Okay, so how would i attach Anubias nana to driftwood w/o many holes or how would i do it to any plants? Also what kind of plants will attach to driftwood? Also can cabomba survive with an UGF?

Hi, I have attached it to both rock and driftwood. All you need to do is get it into the position you like and tie it down with some black cotton, fine fishing line or rubber bands.

The cotton/rubber bands eventually break and then you can remove them. If your using fishing line make sure it is close fitting to the object otherwise fish may get caught up in it. Rubber bands would be my last choice as they dont look very nice.

When you attach it make sure you dont pull it too tight or you may damage the rhizome (cut into it).

Another plant that you can attach to driftwood is Java Fern and of course Java Moss. I think any plant with a rhizome can be attached.

Hope this helps

Yep, eventually the roots grow into the wood or around it and that anchors it in place. I would say after about 6 weeks you could probably take the line off.

You'll know when just by looking at the growth. When I've used the rubber bands i've just left them on there until they break.

Have fun

Hi,
Most folks use black cotton thread to tie the plant to
the wood. Yes, the roots anchor into the driftwood.
Over time, the thread will rot away leaving the roots
firmly attached.

Yes that plant will survive a UGF.. I have yet to find one
that won't.
