the plants in my 20g were growing really well, but laterly they have started to lose alot of leaves.
main ones are the crypts 'melting'

i'm also moving my tanks back to my parents later this week - hope to just empty 20g and leave the plants in place - is this best? i don't want to make problem worse.

lighting on for 10hrs 15W 10000K tube and a 14W sun-glo tube.

would co2 injection help???? i would have to be cheap one or home made - if i find time!!

Cheers

Hi,
If your crypts are already melting, and on top of that
you are going to have to tear down the tank for the move,
you will have to just live with the possible loss.

I would use the opportunity to change the lighting down
to something that crypts, low light plants, enjoy.
Use only lights in the 6700K range, for 10 hours a day,
and loose the 10,000K and probably the "Sun Glow" as
well. If these are flourscent bulbs, just go to a hardware
store and pick up a pair of tubes marked "Daylight, or
Sunlight," and use them.

As for the plants before the move, continue to remove the
dying leaves and any soft mushy parts of the plants. As
long as the central part of the plant remains firm, it will
survive the melt down.
