I just wnated to know if the airstone will kill my plants?
I have 2 airstones and somebody told me too take them out since they are taking the co2 that the plants need

I don't think that they'll kill your plants, but yes, they take out some co2.

The more water disturbance you have the quicker the Co2 is dispursed this is the main reason I have never used it.

As far as killing plants I dont think so.

If you are not injecting Co2 the airstones won't make a difference. They'll only drive off Co2 if you are injecting it, kinda in one ear and out the other. If not it'll just bring the tank into equilibrium with the air, pretty much the same .

Newbie here Planning to slowly convert my fake plant aquarium to a real plant aquarium. So, from what i understand, when using real plants there is no need to use an airstone?

Another question, how do you "inject co2" into the tank? Does it help with plant growth?

I do not use Co2 at all too much air movement. As to does it help plants it certainly does once it is set up correctly.

Also live plants are better for your total aquarium look and health.
