Well its 20g long tank(second hand, notice the scratches), with basic gravel, rocks, drift wood. 2wpg (flouro), dosing all seachem flourish including excel. (see my post on dosing)

stocking, swordtails, panda cories, neons, and BN's.
EDIT: Plants cork vals, crypts, swords, java fern, ozelot, and a few others.

while the plants are doing great. i wish i could say the same for my cories. they are struggling a bit at the moment, i spose it could be dramatic changes in water conditions due to the amount i'm dosing now.. but i'm unsure.

a few people have shown some interest in how much i get growth etc. i get from using excel, so i'll keep you informed a bit, i wont be doing a log. but that photo was taken just before i started using excel. so i'll post more and you can tell me if you see a good difference.

Cheers

Cynical,

When do you say your panda corys are "struggling", what do you mean exactly? Are they keeling over, not active, ? They shouldn't be affected by the fertilizer dosing at all unless you're adding way too much nitrate, which would be hard to do with Flourish Nitrogen at the recommended dose (it's very dilute). What temperature is the tank currently at?

I've had 2 deaths, and i can't place the reason, no visible signs of anything. testing my water,
ph 6.9
kh 4
no GH test kit.
nitrate 20ppm
nitrite 0
no ammo test kit.
25deg C

last death was a day after a large water change.
only thing i can think of is stress. my male swordtail can be a bit agressive at times.

might post more on this in a dif thread.

Cheers

There have been concerns of excel causing fish deaths but I'm currently using it at more than the recommended dose on a tank with panda cory and have had no problems.
