One of my crypt's leaves are turning transparent and then dying.

Any ideas of what might be the cause?

I am dosing Flourish Excel and small amounts of iron.

Could it be lack of Potassium or some trace elements?

ahhh this brings me back to my first time trying to keep plants
your problam is probably hitch hiker snails
im still not sure how you get them
but i know you will want to buy some alum it can be found in the spice ilse of your avradge food store then take a a bucket and find how many litres it holds then put 1 tbsp per gallon and soak the plant for 24 hours and this is the most important step!
WASH THE Plant GOOD BEFORE PUTTING IT IN A TANK!
because alum is toxic to fish if you still dont understand heres a thread were i leard this info from

Hi,
This is normal, take a pair of sharp scissors and
snip the dead leaf off down close to the rhizome.
If the remainder of the plant is nice and green
then you don't have any problems and its just a dying
leaf that will be replace by another growing leaf.

If you have a deficiency of nutrients, then the plants
will tell you by the condition of their leaves.

Would substrate tabs do anything for them? Any suggestions?

Hi
"One of my crypt's leaves are turning transparent and then dying."

From your comment, I believe that we are looking at
only one, or two plants and the remainder of the plants are doing fine.
In looking at the last of the picture
it would seem to be partially eaten. This is normal
activity for snails, eating dead or dying plant matter.

As far as the question, "Can you be doing anything for the
plants" is concerned, yes, you could be adding fertilizers
to the water column and to the gravel. But, that may not
be necessary.
How new is the tank? How new are these specific plants?
How populated is the tank? What size is the tank?
What type of light (total wattage of the bulbs, and what
kind of bulbs are they [what does the writing on the bulbs
say])?

It looks kind of like crypt melt, but I don't think I've seen it where the leaf was only about halfway melted. Crypt melt is caused by sudden changes or damage to the plant (new lights, overdue water change, or damaging the roots with a siphon are common causes). Anything like this happen recently? (Don't panic, because crypt melt won't kill the plants, and even a crypt that is completely melted can still grow back)

I just got the plants two days before they started to lose color.

I think that all my plants are suffering from this problem.

There are tons of little bumps(look like really really small bubbles or white spots) on the leaves too.

Is that normal?
