Transporting plants | |
milkyboy Hobbyist Posts: 88 Kudos: 81 Votes: 4 Registered: 03-Dec-2005 | Tomorrow I have someone coming to pick up the contents of my 2 foot tank and was just wondering what the best way to transport the plants is. The plants are anubias and another wide leaved plant. I've seen before they get wrapped in damp newspaper and rolled up and put in a plastic bag. Is this alright? Milkyboy |

How long is the ride for these plants until they will be in their new home? If it doesn't take more than an hour or so then putting them in plastic bags (not too many in one bag to avoid breaking) with a little tank water added will be just fine. Ingo |

Plastic bags with a little water is ideal I would suggest the all be caried in a box of some decription to avoid either over heating or cold depending on your climate. Also keep them out of the sun while travelling. Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info Look here for my Betta 11Gal Desktop & Placidity 5ft Community Tank Photos Keith Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do.
