An unwanted type of plant has just invaded my aquarium!<br><br>It seems like moss but blooms and has grown both on my gravel and along decorations, such as a ceramic ship, including my external filter.<br><br>When I plucked one out of the gravel, it seemed to have no rootes.<br><br>Anyone knows what it is?!!?????<br>And how can I get rid of it?????!!!!!!???????<br><br>If you give me your email address, I will send you its image.<br><br>URGENT HELP NEEDED...<br><br>pls...10x very much!!!...

It sounds like a type of algae to me.

If you host the image on a site like photobucket you can provide us with the link to see the picture. It's free, and this way you don't have to send out multiple e-mails.

Also if you could supply us with other info about your tank like, how many watts of light per gallon of water you have and any other perameters like ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and phosphate these all help to determine the problem you might be having.

A hosted photo will certainly help plus all the other necessary infomation. At the moment it sounds like an algae.

when i search more information about algae, I found out that it was hair algae.....

Maybe you keep the lights on for a long time or you added some ferts & the Algae bloomed.
