My lighting right now is 96w on a 46g, eco-complete substrate, no co2. My Scapes |

If they are floating and they are not, then either the fish are munching on them or there is not enough nutrients in the water for them, or both. You don't address the stocking of the tank, how old it is, or if the plants are rooted in the gravel or floating at the surface. Nor do you mention what you are using for bulbs (Flourscent, Compact flourscent) (temp Kelvin). If they are rooted in the gravel, your tank is probably a "tall" tank, and the full 2wpg is not reaching the surface of the gravel. Brighter light, or light that is 8800K might be better. The plants are rooting in the eco-complete substrate and the tank is 20in deep. I currently have the 96w 6700k bulb on 10 hrs/daily. It's stocked with tetras, dwarf plecos, rams and 2 angels, but I don't see the angels bothering the wisteria. If it's a nutrient deficency, what do you recommend? My Scapes |

Quite alot of light can be scattered and absorbed on the way to the substrate. While you should be able to grow nearly any of the "medium" light demand plants, it might not work in your deeper tank. I would switch to a double compact flourscent light, or a hood with several T5 bulbs. That would give you the light (wpg) to grow nearly any plant up to and including most of the high light plants. If your plants are lacking nutrients, they would show you symptoms. Check out this site http://www.csd.net/~cgadd/aqua/art_plant_nutrient.htm Hope this helps...
