	Yellow Wisteria
Babelfish Administrator Small Fry with Ketchup Posts: 6833 Kudos: 8324 Votes: 1570 Registered: 17-Apr-2003	Noticed that my water wisteria is starting to turn more of a yellow color than it's usual bright green, I did test my nitrAtes recently and they came out @5ppm, so I've increased how much I've been adding. Is this likely the cause of the yellow color or is there another possiblility. 40watts 20 gallon tank DIY Co2 and Flourish on occasion. T'anks in advance . ^_^

FRANK Moderator Posts: 5108 Kudos: 5263 Votes: 1690 Registered: 28-Dec-2002	Hi, The yellowing of the plant is probably as you have figured, a lack of nutrients. Low light can also cause the problem. But if you have changed nothing and it grew and grew, and then started to yellow I'd suspect the lack of nutrients, or its so thick that its not getting enough light. debbiemc Fish Addict Posts: 520 Kudos: 80 Registered: 06-Aug-2001	Try using some Flourish Iron as well. That plant does need a nutrient rich bottom, so maybe even a fertilser tablet (or a piece of rabbit-poo) pressed near it's roots will do the trick. In wildness, nature is not human-hearted!
