hey every one.

i've started my own aquarium about 2 months ago, and i've had a couple of plants.

the thing is, they never seem to last longer than a week. the fish like to play, and rip the leaves off. one of my big keeps pulling the entire thing out, and i find it floating at the top of the tank.

i've tried burying the base with rock. but it didn;t stop them

any one else have any ideas on how to stop these plants from flaoting on the top of the tank?

What kind of fish are we talking about ?

Some fish and plants just don't mix. Particularly the African Cichlids.

You could try some tougher plants like Java Fern or Anubias. Most fish leave them alone as the leaves are too tough to eat. These plants do best tied to wood or rock so they can't be dug up.

Some days you're the pigeon and some days you're the statue.

Remember that age and treachery will always triumph over youth and ability.

Ok it is a FW tank but what plants have you got there also what fish do you have in the tank as well.

All the extra infomation will help in giving you a more exact answer.

Some fish and plants just don't mix Bernard is certainly correct in this statement

Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do.
