This plant has been doing well for me, I'm just wondering exactly what it is

Also, are what appear to be separate sections actually completely connected under the substrate or not? If not I'd like to be able to transplant some of it.

Thanks again from the plant newbie

It looks like green crypt wendtii....and yet it doesn't. I'd guess that maybe it was grown ?emersed? only partially in the water. Somebody else will probably come in here and correct me.

I don't think it's Wendtii.

Could possibly be Cryptocorene Nevilli, general shape is right, but the leaves don't quite look right, so not 100% certain.

At first I thought it was some type of sword but the base looks more crypt like then sword like.

What size is it? How long have you had it!

Hi!

To me it looks like an Ruffled Amazon Swordplant i have, it has the same growth and considering the size of the fish also the proportions, the leaves will start to ruffle if it has enough light, if not, they will stay straight.

The leaves are too "vainey" to be a crypt

Well compared to the plant behind it, the leaves are small, so I wouldn't think it was a sword plant, as the leaves would be bigger, right? The base looks more like a crypt species than an sword species IMO. The stems look a little tall to be a wendtii though.

EDIT: ok, looking at more pictures of the ruffled sword plant, that could be it, the leaves look about right, but the stems still don't seem right to me

If you uproot the plant, you will probably find they are seperate plant-lets. You can just snap the plant off where you want, seperate the roots, and voila! New plants.
Sword plants can be divided just as easy as any above ground plant.

I've had the plant about a month how, it's ~4.5" tall.

The plant behind it is a radican sword. Is there any chance it's a lutea? That's the only plant listed on the invoice I can't find, although they may have shipped something else...

The lutea I know of, has more of a ruffed edges on the leaves, and yours looks quite smooth. Not sure though, it could be.

Cryptocoryne x willisii ''lucens'' is MHO. base of the stems have typical crypt rhizome indication. It should grow from 6 to 10 inches in height.
