im starting to get some brown alge on my sword leaves. whats the best way to get rid of it

Hi,
Brown algae is generally an outbreak of diatoms.
This can be caused by a combination of high silica in the
water (they use this to make their skeltons out of, low
light, and "dead areas" (areas without water circulating
through them).
The easiest way to eliminate it is to increase the strength
of your lighting ( a brighter, more wattage, bulb).

there is enough current to make my fishies swim backwards, but why would it just be showing now, light bulb need changing? ive had it 6 months.

i have the standard lighting fixture what bulb would u suggest for a 29 gal tank and will to much light effect the fishies (mini sunglasses for all)
