Is there a certain point at which you're supposed to remove them ? thanks! http://www.geocities.com/the_master_cheese_thief_q/DSCN1467.JPG |

It's up to you! But you shouldn't remove the newest leaves, they won't do as well on their own. This is a pic of my crypt jungle that started only a few months ago with 2 plants: Theresa_M attached this image: ![]() ~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is water at the bottom of the ocean |

If a crypt "melts", that is to say that its leaves turn translucent and die back, the root or rhizopme will survive to push up new leaves. You may divide a crypt at any time by using a sharp knife or scissor to split the "mother" plant. When you make your cut, you must be certain to take enough of the rhizome to support the new plant. My preference is bushy plants. I do not split my c. wendtii until it is 8 to 9 inches across. __________ "To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism; to steal from many is research." researched from Steven Wright |
