i'm looking for a floating plant for my guppie fry to hide in, but not hornswart, or anything else that makes a huge mess!
any sugestions are welcome.

I have some water lettuce in my tank. Normally it grows into largeish lettuce head-like rosettes, but under high light, the plants cover the top nicely with plants that are only around an inch across (watts of lighting don't matter so much since they float) and they have lots of roots for your fry to hide in

Java fern floats really well and won't mess up your tank. Another option if you can find it is water sprite.
