They carry T8s in that length. You just purchase the bulbs that say DAYLIGHT or SUNLIGHT instead of the bulbs that say warm white or warm glow. Much less expensive. My homedepot doesnt carry 3' bulbs either, they carry a dual bulb shop light in the 3' lenght but not the right type of bulb....which is how I ended up with the two foot fixture over my 30 gallon....
