Make a cut to include leaves on both ends. It will grow back. Just do not burry the rhibasome into the substrate.

I would make sure there are several leaves between the cuts. Tie these to a rock or driftwod with fine fishing line. Then place it in a well lit location in your tank leave and forget it.

Every time i want to propagate mine, i just snip little pieces of the rizome, with one leave each, attach them to their new home and that's it, they grow again, slowly but steady, i've only bought one little pot of them, and now all my tanks have some. You got to love them!

Yes, they are easily propagated, I have been doing it for over 20 years now. Mostly the nana, but several others as well. The only problem with using a piece with just one leaf, is that if any damage happens to that one leaf, it will die. Better to snip a piece with several leaves on it.

HTH....
