my anubias barteri sent up 2 flowers about 2 months ago, and now i notice that it's sending up 2 more flowers today. my guess is they've been growing for about a week, judging by how tall they are right now am i just lucky, or is there any kind of cycle these plants go through to bloom like this?

I had some bloom once, but those were taken over by algae before they had the chance to bloom again. I think they do need to be in pretty good conditions to bloom, so good job.

Mine seem to bloom when they feel like it as my water conditions are the same all the time. The only thing that changes is the room temp. Saying that I would think the tank temp could be cooler during the winter months like as in nature.

I seem to think they flower during our colder months, then each plant could have several flowers. This is mainly on the larger variety. I dont think I have ever flowered the nanna variety.

i think my barteri is split into two separate plants then, because i have two separate flowers forming independently of each other my vet has nana in his big (250+g) tank at his office and his bloom fairly often, but he also takes extra special care of his tank plants.

My anubias nana blooms every couple of months. It currently has two "flowers". Although I think I have several individual plants as it looks like there are five or six seperate rhizomes intertwined.
