coral blue BR HG T8 made in china, unkown manu

3 of these 40w lights came with the tank, "thats just what was in the demo unit" said the LFS "take em or leave em". I cant gather much on them via google so I suspect they arent much good. Almost indicated as a reef like globe. I may be able to pass them on to some friends but it looks like Ill have to buy some others. Any point using just one of them? and replacing the other two with daylights.
Ill worry about suping them up at a later date.. gotta get over this initial hump first.

BTW for those following the story , the tank is here now, about an hour after its arrival I had the cabinet fixed. So very happy with the deal. Picture here http://mec-symonds.eng.monash.edu.au/twiki/bin/view/Aqua/TheFiveFooter

I can see it is not a Bow front like I thought but the rounded corner type.

There has/is one for sale at a LFS where I occasional go to and it looks exactly the same as you have just bought.

I also notice you only have one heater I certainly would have two good heaters and always carry a spare heater. Try to locate the Ceramic airstones as they are the best you can buy (mine are still in perfect condition after close to 20 years.

Are you going to get a UGF as well?

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info

Its doing well and yes I installed the UGF but only really as a backup as the canister is doing all the work.
Im also looking for a another heater as backup. Im balancing the wallet at the moment as Id like to get a decent one ;(
Plants, rocks n fish are at the top of the list right now.
