has anyone tried ordering plants online from www.aquariumplants.com or www.aquatic-store.com? aquariumplants.com has a good selection of the plants that i want but their shipping policy isn't too clear and they havent replied to my emails. azgardens.com has a nice site but ive heard stories of plants being wrapped in newspaper, half-dried out. thanks for any advice, im really looking forward to planting my tank and i want to start asap, without waiting 2 weeks for my order to ship.

I've ordered from both in the past and have been generally happy.

In fact, I just placed an order with AquariumPlant.com a few minutes ago.

This was after a month of frustration with FloridaDriftwood. I placed an order with them and kept getting a it will ship next week or two weeks when I inquired about my order status. I finally cancelled the order.

and in great shape.

mtber - when you ordered with aquariumplants.com in the past, generally how long did it take to get your order from the time you placed it until the time you received it?

and Frank - by no means did I mean to bash azgardens or anything like that. i was just passing along something ive read. there's good and bad experiences for evey place i guess

I've ordered from aquatic-store, aquariumplants.com, arizona gardens, aquariumgardens.com, and out of all of them I had the healthiest and most generous amount of plants from aquariumgardens.com.

Of the others, I've had 1) unauthorized charges to my credit card 2) dead plants 3) WRONG plants 4) my order sent to someone else accidentally.

The thing to look for at these places is 1) shipping , because some people insist on sending plants overnight mail, which isn't necessary or cheap 2) Their out of stock replacement "policy" - if you order dwarf hairgrass, will they send you some microsword if they're out without telling you? 3) DOA replacement policy - if they have one, what does it cover.

Anyway, like I said, the only place I've ever been truly happy ordering from is aquariumgarden.com.

Arizon Gardens has a huge selection and a nice staff, but there is a $35 minimum order. I ordered my Bioplast CO2 system from them also.

I just ordered from Aquarium Garden last week. I bought a bunch of crypts and three bunches of glosso, all of which came in great condition. No minimum order here and shipping is pretty reasonable (~$10 flat rate).

Aquabid was a place I've used in the past for individual plants or groups of plants. Occasionally you find little gems here and people who offer reasonable shipping.
