ok, I've read almost all the posts about starting plants and all. But I just want to know if there is any specific way you are supposed to plant them? Do you just stick them in the gravel and letem go or what? I don't want to get all this done and then have to REdo it because I screwed up =)

Depends on the plant really . most plants you can just bury in the gravel, well at least the roots not the crowns. Stemplants just put enough under the gravel to anchor the plant.
Javafern and some other really don't belong in gravel and do better attached to wood, rocks, or other decor.
Some plants don't need planting at all(duckweed and other floaters, mosses etc.)
and other have special methods(glosso requiring time patientce and tweezers; riccia with tieing down etc.)

welcome

yup..i agree with him...with stem plant,...u may group them together or u may plant them apart...about 3 inches.. with java fern/anubias nana...they prefer a driftwood to attached them...or...u may put them on the gravel...just make sure the main rhizome is exposed.

java moss...u can put it on the gravel..make sure to anchor it so as not to float or u may affixed it on a rock.

I strongly suggest you give us the names of the plants without that no correct answer can be given as there are several methods of "planting" plants.

Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do.
