Guppy_man![]() Hobbyist Posts: 114 Kudos: 128 Votes: 1 Registered: 27-Oct-2003 ![]() ![]() | I bought 2 very healthy looking anubias nana plants from petland,and they have been in the tank for a few days now.I was wondering if I could bury the pots under the gravel or should I take the plants out and just plant them? The roots are stating ot come out the bottom of the pots. |

Posts: 2266 Kudos: 2194 Votes: 19 Registered: 18-Nov-2003 ![]() ![]() | Definitely take them out of the pots and remove that grayish stuff... that's rock wool and will eventually rot in you tank. Anubias have what is called a rhizome (you'll see that thick part where all the roots come out of) ... you do NOT want to bury that, otherwise it can rot and kill off the plant. Anubias are great attached to rock or wood, but can also be planted as long as you don't cover the rhizome. Good luck! ~Meow. Thus spoke the cat.~ |
