Do plants thrive the same in brackish water as they do freshwater? I don't even know if you can use plants in brackish water Someone please clear this up for me.

As far as I understand, only some will, most will die.

http://www.tropica.com has a list of plants that will accept brackish water.

Hi,

As any living being they are subject to conditions, most thick stem and thick leave plants are in fact brackish water plants, like Saggitaria, some valls, and all swords. you just have to do a little research on which can live, most of them can adapt and some will just be intolerable to it.

The Tropica site is a good start in all their profiles they mention the plant tolerance to water hardness, you can also get more info at:

Aquatic Plant Central
The Krib

Good Luck
