| everweird Fingerling Posts: 43 Kudos: 75 Votes: 0 Registered: 12-Jul-2004 | i use java fern, anubias, and hornwort. remember most africans are herbivores so any plants could become a snack! hornwort doesn't last so long but it grows so fast i can keep rotating in new trimmings from my other tank. keep your lighting & substrate in mind too. many african tanks are low light and have sand substrate so that nixes most med-high light and rooted plants. |

If it is Western Africa, then look at this site: http://www.azgardens.com/habitats_west.php If it is Eastern Africa, including the Rift lakes, then the plants mentioned are probably good as could be either Val or Sag.
