My plants came in today and unfortunately, I am still waiting for my stands. I put some of these plants in my tanks for a temp spot until I can plant them. I just laid them on top of the water. The others I took and just put in a bucket of water.

Will this be ok until my stands come in and I can plant them in the permanet spot? Or do I need to go ahead and plant them and them take them out when the stands come in? The stands should be here anyday.

They are pygmy grass, amazon sword, baby tears, crypt wendti, temple plant, foxtail filigree (very pretty).

You should have no problem keeping them in a bucket as long as the water temperature stays above their "critical" temperature. You can double check their temperature ranges at http://www.tropica.com.

Use the latin names for the plants as the common names are very misleading. For example, baby tears may be micranthemum sp. or rotala sp.or bacopa sp.

How about I just sit them near my heater vent? I cant see the water getting lower than about 65...thats going as low as it could possibly go. My stands may be here tomorrow. It stays about 70 in my house. Daytime it goes about 75.

Ill be so glad when I get these tankd finished and sat up. Ive got fish tank decor all over the place. Im having such a hard time deciding what to do with my kribs and puffers. I want to have these tanks sat up and ready, cycled for the tanks ASAP. Im not buying them until I get the tanks established. Its a messs with an empty 29 sitting on my bar!!!
