anyone have a Blue Tang? I'm considering getting one, but I'm not sure, I'd like to know others opinions of them

Is this your first tank? If so, I would suggest not getting one for a while. They are ick magnets, and need a large, and very stable tank.

I also wanted one but they are not reef safe and will eat anything that'll fit in there mouth.

Didn't you say you had a 20gal tank? That is WAY small for a blue tang. Or were you planning to get a larger tank?

I get big fish when there small and when they get to big for my tank i give them to my friend who has a 80 gallon in his room. But so far all i givin to him is crabs.

A Blue Tang is also too large for an 80 gallon. I wouldnt get one, your looking for trouble. Especially if you plan on moving it around like that. Stress is the last thing it needs.

There very sinsitive fish. They can get sick very easy. I would recomend agenst it.
