I've been doing small water changes in my 70 gal reef(about 4 gal once a week) for about 5 months. I'm considering doing 8 gal once every 2 weeks cause I'm going away for a couple months and I have to entrust my wife to help me while I'm gone. Is this okay or should I continue with the same and just hope? |

Anthony Calfo suggested this to me over dinner while he was visiting so Im gonna try it once I get moved and replumb my tank. With that being said, 8-10 gallon changes once a week will be fine. [hr width='40%'] I think about you baby, and I dream about you all the time I’m here without you baby, but you're still with me in my dreams… |

I'd have some pretty big arms after a 35 gallon water change. I've never heard of that much at one time. I guess it couldn't hurt anything provided you had the salinity and temp just right. |

I also do this 5 gallons at a time out, and 5 gallons at a time in, with a bucket of course ![]() I only have three tanks right now but in a bit i'll have 4. My fish are fine with it to the nibble at my fingers and play, not hide out in a corner. I guess the whole reason for me doing this is, I HATE discolored water period. ![]() Should get a python lol Angel Eel< ![]() Last edited by angeleel at 15-Mar-2005 22:20 |
