Due to the conflicting documentation on that site you have posted there as well. Within The Cichlid Forum, you will also find some documentation as well as some articles, that relate the Heros severus as a substrate spawner. Currently I cannot find any true form documentation for this matter. As there is no scientific data that I can find available at this time. Other than conflicting articles and such on the web. If you can point me to a scientific paper, or a legitimate ichthiologist that can confirm this, I will gladly change my vote. But until then, it is best to keep it the way it is, as people can look up the info on the fish with the name they have been given upon purchasing it. By all means though, make a new profile for the efasciatus if you like. There is always a bigger fish... |
