For the original species description (ie the archytypal platty specimen) the colours listed should be for the wild platy. These wild specimens are actually hues of brown through to grey,olive green, and blue. All the reds and other brighter colours we see are as a result of selective breeding for colour. These colour phases can be mentioned in the variants section, but do not belong in the colour section. The picture on the profile is not a standard colour platy,it is a selectively bred specimen, although it is a reasonable example of body type. Sorry fella!
