10G Lighting | |

In a few months I plan to upgrade the lighting to ~4wpg and heavily plant it. I bought what I thought to be 2 CF bulbs from Walmart. They are 20w. I guess they are CF bulbs, but not sure on the K rating. It says soft white on the package (i thought that was the good kind). Well, I put one in the hood to see how bright it was and it wasn't bright at all. Looks reddish like an incandescent bulb. What type of bulb should I be looking for? Any one know if Home Depot or Lowe's has the good CF screw in bulbs? Any particular brands I should be looking for? I thought I got the right ones...but it seems I didn't. Help! BTW here is a picture of the bulb: |

You could just search around for a 65-67k light, or visit the local LFS for All-Glass mini compact lights. They're 10w lights that seem like 50 watters. Probably a bit more expensive than a generic bulb, but you know you'll be getting a 6,500k bulb. Bring back the soft whites or use them in your kitchen |
