I found one for sale in the local newspaper. I haven't had a chance to call the people yet. I have never heard of an 85g tank. Does anyone know what the dimensions might be? i tried to search online...but got nothing (but a few saltwater sites).

It sounds like a good deal ($100 for tank, stand, and extras)...but I'm just wondering if it will work for freshwater...and how long it might be.

Sorry I'm impatient and can't wait until I get home and call the people...I'm already dreaming of it now.

Thanks for any answers to my silly question!

Also, how about a 55g breeder. I think it is wider than a regular 55g. Anyone know the dimensions of that?

Thanks!

Never heard of it. Might be a homemade tank.

Tenecor makes a rectangular 85 gallon tank, with dimensions of 36" x 18" x 30". Be warned, that if it is a tenecor aquairum, it'll be acrylic, that's why you see so many 85g salt tanks.

Yeah...I really don't want an acrylic tank.

I was too late anyways...by the time I called it was sold. I'll have to find me another deal now.

Cool gauntlet. I wish I could have gotten that 85g tank. I want something bigger than my 55g. The price was great! I guess someone else felt that way too and snatched it up.

Oh well, I got another 55g this weekend./:'

We have a 50 breeder for our california king snake. It's not as long as a reg 55 but it is deeper from front to back. Be careful though because most of those that I have seen are designed for reptiles and they have built in sliding screen tops.

Edit: Sorry, you asked for dimensions. 36" long, 18" deep and 16.5" high

Thanks sunspotkat. I actually didn't go for the 55g breeder. I have never heard of that. I did get me a regular 55g though.

Thanks for responding.
