tetratech Ultimate Fish Guru Posts: 4241 Kudos: 1074 Registered: 04-Nov-2003 | I have a current usa - satelitte dualbulb fixture. One of the bulbs isn't working (not the bulb I teste), probably a bad ballast. Anyone know how to fix. Thanks in advance for any help! My Scapes |

In anycase...try [link=hello lights]http://www.hellolights.com" style="COLOR: #EB4288[/link] or [link=AH supply]http://www.ahsupply.com" style="COLOR: #EB4288[/link] for parts. Home depot also carries ballasts although being an aquauarium lighting one theirs may not be up to par. ^_^[hr width='40%'] "in any case, chocolate is hardly a rare comodity." said Chaos. At that price, plus I'm probably in need for some new cf bulbs I might as well get a new fixture. My Scapes |

MO Hobbyist Posts: 126 Kudos: 50 Votes: 2 Registered: 09-Nov-2001 | I think my ballast is bad too! I have a Current USA Satellite 48" with 2 65w bulbs and the lunar lights. One of the bulbs either won't light fully or it flickers causing both bulbs to flicker like a strobe light. When I disconnect the one bulb the other one works fine. I've tried other bulbs with no luck. Both bulbs use one ballast. Maybe it is the connection to the ballast and not the ballast itself. I don't remember how long the warranty was for, but I have had it for just over a year...so the warranty is probably for one year I haven't contacted them yet. I had previously bought a homemade fixture for another tank on E-bay. That ballast went bad too in under a year. But when I contacted them about it, they sent me a newer, better ballast for free. I don't suppose a "real business" like Current USA could be that courteous. |
