I saw these at circuit city...when your power goes out the battery apparently picks up in them and you can run your computer for like up to 45-60 min. I was wondering if by that...if anybody had an idea of how long it would work for 2 10 gallon filters and a 40-60 filter and 3 heaters. I don't have the heaters yet seeing how its summer and don't need them so I don't know how big they are gonna be. Just 2 big enough for a 10 and a 30.

So anybody have an idea of how long they'd last for that stuff? I'd imagine a lot longer than an hour if it'll keep a computer up that long...

I'm preparing for any power outages in the winter so yea...don't want frozen fish and what not.

I had some tanks running on a large UPS (the ones that ran the server @work) during the huricane last year....I believe that it ran about 4-6 hours or so but I also had the heater plugged in (didnt' want the temp to drop too much).

A UPS in the $100 range is likely to last only an hour or so.

^_^
