I've run out of outlets in my room, but am thinking of getting a 2ish gallon betta bowl. I'm considering wiring together some LEDs, probably some ultra-bright ones or something, so I can see the little guy, but I'm wondering how I'm going to go about heating the water.

I figured that a very short length of undergravel heating cabling would work, but I have no idea how to make this work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

if you want to build it, you might need to have some transformer to step down from 110v so it's suitable for that short wires. i personally wouldn't recommend it specially if you're not familiar with basic circuit, and for a small betta tank, a 25W heater with automatic thermostat easily purchased from a store is doing fine for this job.

why mess around with those, get one of these, this is what i have in my room.

I've got 20 some outlets in my room...plus 3X 3-way plugs, and 4 powerstrips. I ran out of normal outlets a LOOOONNGGG time ago!

Just get a powerstrip or 2...maybe even run an extention cord in from another room if you're overloading the circut in your room...like I've done a few times to both of the circuts that power my room
