Marineland make a Bio Wheel Pro 60 filter that connects to the returm of a magnum 350. I am having difficulty finding one.

Did this device not work well and that is why it seems to have dissapeared from the market?

Marineland still has them listed on their site and I think I've seen them listed on some smaller fish supply sites as well as petsmart.com. I bought a magnum pro system so it already had the biowheels. I was definitely not impressed with it though. Both the actual cannister and the biowheel system were quite lacking and I've made several page long posts with my complaints about the magnum cannister. The biowheels just didn't get enough water flow from the cannister output and spray bar setup to actually turn even before they were covered in bacteria. Eventually I'm certain they would have ceased turning completely no matter how often I cleaned them. They might be useful with a larger cannister or more water diverted to the spraybar but not with the suggested magnum setup. While I love my penguin and emperor biowheel filters I'll never touch another magnum cannister.

I went on a technical excursion to all the aquaria stores in my area yesterday. I found several people felt the same way. I determined the best use for the pro systems is for river systems where the water level is to low for emperor. Other than that the pro system was not recommended. As always I appreciate your input.
