	Cooling Off Heaters
hle_81 Fingerling Posts: 34 Kudos: 12 Votes: 0 Registered: 18-Mar-2003	how long do i have to wait for the heaters cool off before i do a water change? and after adding water, how long do i wait before turning it back on?

You can plug it back in immediately after getting the water back in the tank. It should automaitically come on, though it may not stay on long depending on the temp of the ingoing water. ~~Melissa~~ "Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder."

You should be adding water that is the same temp as the water in your tank to avoid stressing the fish.
