I'm looking for comments regarding thse external heaters that hook up on the outside to the output hose on a canister filter. I'm thinking of getting one and am wondering if they are any good.

In my opinion, they're nice. They heat all the water that flows past the module, you're able to save space in the aquarium and make for less of a distracting sight by having it out of the tank too. As long as they stay active and don't stick in the on position, they're good.

The highest wattage available at my LFS is 300 watts. They told me that should do a 110 gal. as the heat more efficiently than inside heaters. By the way if I decide on inside submusible ones u think I should go with 2 150 watts or 2 300watts heaters?
