	Eclipse system 6 problems
Fishyandrew45 Hobbyist Posts: 137 Kudos: 98 Votes: 0 Registered: 16-Jul-2004	I keep a eclipse system 6. I have sand in it and dont have any problems at all. Its about 1-2 years old so maybe the filter just slowed down (put sand in a couple months ago) Maybe you should try a larger grained sand. Justa suggestion

Also try getting a spong at cutting it to fit the intake like fish1 said, you should get some good results with that. Just an idea

littlemousling Conchiform Posts: 5230 Registered: 23-Aug-2003	You definitely need to filter, but you can leave the filter off for a day or two while the sand settles. It's not like there are fish in there now, the filter doesn't have to be on. Let the sand settle, clean the impeller and casing carefully to remove any sand that might still be in the motor, and then restart it with the intake well above the surface of the sand. -Molly Visit shelldwellers.com!
