-Out of a Powered filter, Undergravel filter, and internal filer, which is the better for use in a 10g to 20g tank?
-Which would be a better heater out of a submersible or attatched?

i've never used any other kind of filter but the kind that hook on the back and circulate water out of the top...

but i would definately say dont use and under gravel one, they clog up easily and a a pain to clean.

i think filters are all in what you plan on puttin in the tank and what kind of substrate you use.

HOB filter like an Aquaclear would be .
UGF is a waste of money IMO and more trouble than good.

Submersible heaters, bit more expensive but much less likely to break when you don't unplug them doing a water change .

Power filters are the best filtration for the cost when dealing with small tanks. An internal filter is just going to take up space in a tank that is already fairly small and undergravel filters require more cleaning effort. There's really no reason to get a heater that isn't submersible. The cost isn't that much higher.

I use HOB filters- Aquaclear- my choice on all but my larger tank which has a canister and a HOB. I also prefer submersablr heaters.

Submersible heaters all the way.

filters. i have a reverse flow on my 40g with an OTB and it works nice. my 55g has 2 otb, and my 150 will have 2 cansiters when its up.

one thing i'm thinkign about tinkering with one of my sick tanks, is a UG hooked up to a otb by flex tubing.

Fish tanks are an expensive addiction
