I have a 380Litre tank & the filter is 1600L/h. Is it enough, or i need more filtration?.
Thanks in advance.

It all depends on what media you are using as lph is a theoretical best flow rate and will drop when media is placed in the flow ,Eheims for instance have a relatively low flow rate but due to their large media containers the flitration is top notch.

Gibson SG you know you want one!!

Hi Jason,
your filtration sounds OK, but a lot of other factors,(stock load)numbers of fish, type of fish, size of fish, type of plants etc.Like Kridge says the type of filter is also an important consideration, suface area for bacteria also. If you can afford a good quality filter, go for it as it will pay off in the long term. Check back in the forums on the filter posts. Good luck. Muss

Thanks alot for both reply's. My filter is different than most tanks. It's on top of the tank & the water is sucked from one side & then trickles through a pipe with small holes & then goes down from the ther side. The water trickles on ceramic cells, charcole & filter media.

The tank has 2 Angels, 10 Rummynose Tetra, 8 Lemon Tetra, 4 Black Neons, 5 Bronze, 4 Leopard & 5 Albino Corydoras & 3 BN. It also has a few Plants & It has a Sand Subtrate.
