	Increase my light power.
nitro Big Fish Posts: 395 Kudos: 823 Votes: 50 Registered: 20-Nov-2003	I have a Rio 125. it has its own light unit which they give you 2x18 watt tubes. After finding out that i had low light when i went into real plants from fake i have recently been wondering to upgrade. So i looked at the light unit today and it says 2x18watt with all the other electrical stuff. My dad said that this means that this is the maximum wattage the light unit can take. SO is there anything i can do to get brighter light in my tank?

Just go to your lfs and ask and they should be able to help.

Babelfish Administrator Small Fry with Ketchup Posts: 6833 Kudos: 8324 Votes: 1570 Registered: 17-Apr-2003	Unfortunatly flourescent isn't like incandescent where you can just switch out the bulb for a brighter one. A reflector will help direct the light, but it won't really increase wattage. Really the only thing to be done is to change the fixture. ^_^
