I'm just curious to see if the most common tanks sold in other countries are the same sizes as the ones here in the U.S. Following is a list of some of our standard tanks, and a metric measurement of each tank (courtesy of our site's calculator).

5.5 gallon- 20.8 liters
10 gallon- 37.9 liters
20 gallon (long and tall versions)- 75.7 liters
29 gallon- 109.8 liters
40 gallon breeder- 151.4 liters
55 gallon- 208.2 liters
75 gallon- 283.9 liters
90 gallon- 340.7 liters
125 gallon- 473.1 liters

If they aren't all the same, what are the standard measurements in your country? I've been wondering this for a while, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

dont forget, US gallons are smaller than "proper" gallons () So always specify US or UK gallons when discussing gallons!!

I like to think that whoever designed marine life was thinking of it as basically an entertainment medium. That would explain some of the things down there, some of the unearthly biological contraptions
