Dave
let me know what you think of them when you get it set up as i might buy one if the look is bright enough for a 2 foot deep tank.

Hi

The lights arrived today

Will not be setting up the tank until the wifes had a new carpet down

Have turned them on and they look great - am very impressed

Of course you would have to make sure that you can support the wiring in the hood as it is not to dangle in the water - they are held by self adhesive tags and/or wire ties. The "plug" is of an adjustable voltage, that is from 2v to 12v - instructions say not to go over the 9v - but assume changing the voltage downwards simulates the moon phase

My existing tanks hood would not be able to support the lights as you would have to be very careful when removing the hood - but as luck as it the new tank has a cross member

(They look easy to make if your that way in kind)

Try and post reply tomorrow if your interested in the make up!!!!

Regards

Dave

It might be few weeks before tank is set up - will keep u informed anyway

But have a look at my other topic "moon light" and click on FALLOUT's answer follow the "LED" lead - here is the USA version of ebay. Quite a few pics of the moon light LEDs in operation

Regards

Dave

Just keep in mind that you're talking about very dim light -- the light intensity of the full Moon is only about 1/500,000th that of the Sun! (It only looks brighter to us because our eyes are ingeniously designed by Nature to switch back and forth between two different types of light-detecting cells, one for bright light and one for dim.)
