I heard that fish can't see the color blue, and that is why they can still go to sleep with the moonlights on. As regards the times.. it really doesn't matter exactly when. I have a light timer that turns them on just a little before the main lights go off. I saw that those lights are dimmable; i use a program call Ephemeris, [link=http://home.comcast.net/~jonsachs/#Ephemeris 1.0]http://home.comcast.net/~jonsachs/#Ephemeris 1.0[/link] that shows the current moon cycle (light intensity) for my location in Michigan. I adjust the dimmer to something relative to the actual moon intensity of the current day. Thus, I give my fish a moon cycle.. It's not a lot of work, even though it sounds like it. Once you get set up... all it is, is just a little turn of the dial everyday. -pamela P.S. In the program, it does list London, England as a location. And, you're really, really smart, you can configure your exact location... Last edited by HermeLZ at 18-May-2005 16:41 |
