I just purchased a Hydor mini 7.2 w heater. It looks about 5 inches by 3 inches and about half an inch thick and will be placed under the gravel tray. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them and how well they work or do not work. Its intended use will be in a 2 gallon hex desktop with a under gravel filter and a single Betta(Male)

I've had that kind of tank before. The heater does work good in it, but watch the temps closely.

I found with mine that the light was enough to heat it during the day and at night I needed to use the heater.
