What kind of filtration is that I see? I opened up the top and there is a partitioned area in the back with bioballs sitting in there. How does this kind of filtration work and what is it called? I could not find an intake. How does it draw water into the chamber? Doh! |

I want to set up a lush planted tank, mainly as a planted aquarium, but it must also serve as a betta home. High current is not an option. I'm considering the new All Glass (real glass) mini-bow 7, with my own filter choice, but I'm looking at the 12 gallon too. I don't think it will work for me just on the basis that it needs to go on top of a dresser and I'm leary of anything over 8 gallons on that piece of furniture. http://www.aquaticeco.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/product.detail/iid/76/cid/24 Last edited by Cory_Di at 18-Jan-2005 10:02 |

There is one close to the top and one close to the bottom. It uses like was said before a 3 stage filtration. Which uses foam inserts, bioballs, ceramic noudles, as well as carbon. (In my tank all of this is removed and replaced with live rock) As for current the pump that is included with the tank is adjustable so the flow can be made more or less. Even on the highest setting it wasnt that strong tho and you could add something onto the output to direct the flow if needed. The pump can also be removed and replaced with something to beter suit your needs. And the tanks are made of glass. HTH. Steve Edit: the tanks are made my JBJ.
