I cannot seem to get the air bubbles out of my new Fluval 404. It has been up and running for 3 weeks now. I have tipped it back and forth and side to side, and I have primed it until the water comes out the output tube. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Can anyone help me?:%) Thanks!

I checked my lines, and they seem tight. Yes, I have the aqua stop. It does sound like it's sucking air, but I cannot pinpoint it:%)

is there an air stone in the tank near the intake for the filter? When I hooked my Fluval up to my new tank, there was air bubbles. Took me about 2 weeks to realize that was because there was an air stone just about right under the intake!

no, I don't have an airstone, I'm currently waiting for my new rena air pump to arrive. I just don't know what the noise is, my husband says it's the motor and that I should call the manufacturer. I just don't know....:%) Thanks though, for the ideas!

Check your seals and for a pinhole in the intake tubes. If you have the flexible tubes, it's easy to get a hole in them.

I just called Hagen, and did some testing, and it seems that the problem is that the impeller is hitting the cover. So they are sending me a new cover. I hope this works. Thanks for all the help

My hoses are plastic too. Where would I buy rubber hoses if I still have a problem? Is this something you can get at the LFS? It doesn't look like Big Als carry these. Thanks
