Powerhead Askoll 402 | |
PattyPedd Hobbyist Posts: 143 Kudos: 79 Votes: 0 Registered: 14-May-2004 | [font color="#000080"]I currently have a 90 gallon tank that came with an undergravel filter. One of the powerheads quit working. They are "Askoll Powerhead 402" (made in Italy). Also, one of the tubes that connect the tray to the powerhead is cracked (this happened a while back and I did not want to mess with it so I purchased an Emperor filter and a mini Penguin to carry the burden w/o removing the UGF; therefore my filtration is done by the Emperor, the MiniPenguin and the one powerhead that still works. I've looked and looked for Askoll products but have had no luck. Can anybody help me by suggesting a comparable product? I see Aquaclear Products are popular but don't know what to order...?? I'd suggest moving the fish then removing the plates.... AC [link=402]http://www.bigalsonline.com/catalog/product.xm My vote is still to take the time to remove the plates, but it might be because I'm biased against them from a really bad experience with them . ^_^ Current [link=Contest Rules]http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/forums/Aquascaping/44382.html?200412022138" style="COLOR: #EB4288[/link] |

One of the two powerheads kept working so I would have to say yes, they have been aireated. I had one powerhead still working + the big Emperor + a MiniPenguin. I will probably move everything anyways, because I need to change my substrate soon, but I was hoping I could replace the bad powerhead and continue using all that filtration (I know it may be an "over-kill" but better to have more filtration than needed than less... Any thoughts?? |
