I was wondering how best to change the filters to minimize damage to the biological filter. Basically, how long should I run both? |

| T/A Mega Fish Posts: 942 Kudos: 1796 Registered: 20-Feb-2004 | I'd run both for about 4 weeks. Then, I'd take the bio-wheel off the Penguin filter, and float it in the canister. Most of the bacteria will be on the bio-wheel, so you won't loss any is you transfer it into the canister filter. |
