The new filter on my 55 gallon hangs too low in the tank, forcing me to keep the water level down below the black brace at the top of the tank. This drives me nuts, I'd like to raise the water level so that the top is not seen. Is there something that Whisper makes for this purpose and if not any ideas on how I could raise it up a bit (approx. 3/4" )? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Is it the Whisper internal filter or an HOB?

I have a Whisper internal filter in both of my tanks, and there's very little that can be done, but I would think that if it's an HOB you could put something under the "lip" that would lift it a little. a small piece of wood perhaps?

the filter will keep pushing out water even if you have the water line above where the filter hangs in the tank. It just wont give you the water fall effect. Does that help or am i reading this wrong??

It's an HOB. I guess I wouldn't mind having the water line above the outputs, but won't that take away from the filtration?

Its just going to create a different flow pattern. I dont think its anything to get too worked about about.

If it bothers you, i used a pencil on the rim.

You can also use a piece of moulding or similar.
