balky siphon | |
LMuha Mega Fish Posts: 908 Kudos: 1144 Votes: 183 Registered: 17-Mar-2003 | Has anyone else had their siphons stop working with time? Really weird -- I've had the same siphon for a couple of years. Recently, I haven't been able to get it started (whereas other siphons work fine). It's not blocked, although I do notice that the particular brand has a little plastic disk in the bell that sometimes flips down, blocking it. But as I said, it worked fine for two years and one day, it just stopped. Now, the only way to get it started is to suck on it (blech!), so I finally replaced it. But is this typical? I had another one do the same thing last year -- same brand, different (smaller) siphon. It's driving me nuts. |
